Keeping wood cabinetry clean and beautiful can be easier than you might think. Here are a few quick and easy ways to care for your cabinets to keep them looking new.
Cleaning & Upkeep
Dusting : Dust your cabinets frequently with a dry soft, lint‐free cloth; or you can use water or a spray dust remover to dampen the cloth before dusting.
Spills: Make sure that you clean up any spills immediately. Use a soft, clean cloth and mild soap if necessary, wipe dry and enjoy your beautiful cabinets.
Cleaning: Daily cleaning of your new cabinets is not required. We recommend that you clean your cabinets a few times a year using a soft, clean cloth and cabinet cleaner specifically for wood cabinets. Make sure to wipe the surface dry when you’re finished.
Polishing: We recommend that you polish your cabinets twice a year using a light coat of quality furniture polish; we suggest that you choose a polish that does not contain wax, petroleum, or silicone. This will help maintain the cabinet’s luster and
shine for years to come.
Self‐Cleaning Appliances: Pay close attention to the doors and drawers that are directly adjacent to a self-cleaning oven, as the intense heat from the self-cleaning setting may cause more stress and wear to these surfaces.
Heat‐Producing Appliances: Avoid mounting heat-producing appliances underneath wall cabinets as the intense heat from the appliances may cause more stress and wear to these cabinets.
We suggest that you DO NOT use the following products on your wood Magnolia Cabinets:
- Soap pads
- Steel wool
- Paste wax and polishes with silicones
- Guardsman Revitalizing Wood Polish
- Old English Furniture Polish
- Endust Dusting and Cleaning Spray
